There are just a few more weeks until my Half Marathon. I did a lot better on my training this past week. I am really enjoying training on the track. On Saturday I finally accomplished a goal that I have been talking about for weeks. I walked to the top of my neighborhood to the East gate and then jogged down to the bottom of the neighborhood to the West Gate and walked back home. It was a total of 3 miles and I finished in under an hour. I was excited to mark this off of my training finally. The walk up to the East gate is all up hill from my house and at times I was completely out of breath and ready to turn around but I kept going and made it to the top. I also reached a couple other milestones the past couple weeks.
1. I have logged 500 miles on my Fitbit.
2. My walk/run pace is between 15:00-16:00. I was able to maintain a 15:00 minute pace for 2 miles straight which was exciting for me. I should have been at this pace months ago. It has been a long road for me and I am glad I was finally able to reach this goal.
