I have a new favorite Broadway show. Last night I finally had the opportunity to see WICKED. It was so much more than I expected. After listening to the soundtrack for the past two years and reading the book I had this picture of the show in my head. It far exceeded that picture. It was WONDERFUL! I want to go back and see it again and again. It's just to bad it is sold out. I will just have to make a trip to New York or San Francisco to see it I guess.
One of the songs really hit me last night probably because I am trying to make some big decisions about what to do with my future. The first time I listened to the soundtrack it was a song that struck me. Last night as I listened to the words one line really stood out.
"It's time to trust my instincts close my eyes and leap."

Do it, girl. Trust your instincts (and the Spirit). Without knowing exactly what you are trying to decide, let me just say that I've made scary decisions in my life and I've been blessed for overcoming the fear. One of my favorite sources for reassurance in these situations (at least lately) is Pres. Monson's talk from last October's conference entitled "Finding Joy In the Journey." It reminds me that change, even when it is scary, is necessary for us to grow. So trust, don't fear, and everything will work out.
And wasn't the show awesome?! Patti, Esther, and I didn't schedule in "Wicked" for our trip to New York this summer, but we are seriously reconsidering now. Apparently if we want to spend enough money we can get tickets on the fifth row. It's very tempting!
Just in case you need a little pick-me-up, check out the first paragraph of Esther's latest blog post. :-)
